Degree Programs
Conditions for satisfying the publication requirements are as follows;
- The research article must be related to the thesis in question
- For journals that do not have mandatory APC, the journal has to be indexed and be ranked in the top three quartiles (Q1, Q2, Q3)
- For journals that have mandatory APC, the journal has to be indexed and be ranked in the top two quartiles (Q1, Q2)
- The journal must not be in any predatory journal blacklist
For the purposes of PhD publication requirements, quartiles that are based on Journal Impact Factor (JIF – Web of Science), CiteScore (Scopus), and SCImago Journal Rank (SJR) will be considered. If the quartile of a journal differs depending on which metric or which subject category is chosen, the best quartile will be taken.
